Improving health, wellbeing and fostering creativity through woodwork

  • Young People & Individuals

Our workshops bring together practical and educational. We have a hands-on approach to teaching, getting people to really connect with the materials we use as we teach woodwork and get people engaged with the natural environment.

Whether it’s working with children or adults, we have safeguarding and access policies in place to make sure that our work is done right, with inclusivity and safety at the heart of our practice. Through teaching people about trees and sculpting them, we aim to spur the unique creativity in each individual whilst educating them about the natural world and how to become involved in mitigating the climate crisis.

As seen above, our workshops get the users and makers themselves working on pieces that they will use. We make sure that our participants are part of the design and creation of the pieces that will remain in their community.

If you are interested in any kind of workshop with any demographic, young or old, hot or cold, don’t hesitate to get in contact!

  • Corporate Groups

We have all worked within tense and high-octane environments and we know what it’s like to burn out. We always wanted to contribute to making a difference in our job roles, but typically that came at the expense of our own personal health and wellbeing.

Having had that experience, we created workshops that take a holistic approach, ensuring that members gain hands-on education from the practical experience. Our goal is to create a space where individuals are able to connect with the raw materials used in the woodworking process while simultaneously engaging with the natural environment.

We apply the depth of our knowledge of trees and our sculpting skills with the aim of awakening the unique creativity possessed by each individual. Furthermore, we use this time to educate participants about the natural world and how they can do their part in mitigating the climate crisis. An essential element of our workshops is to get the members, who are the creators, to view their pieces from the perspective of both maker and user. Thereby ensuring that our participants play an integral role in the design and creation of pieces that will enrich their communities.

Working with wood, practicing the art of reflection and being outside is everything we believe is needed to take a break from reality whilst also exercising the other half of our brain. It can be hard to find this in the city, but we have it on hand.

If you haven’t met us already, you’ll understand once you do! Drop us an email and let’s have a chat.
